Why you shouldn’t be an HR Manager?

Human Resource isn’t a thing we do, it’s the thing that runs our business
– Steve Wynn

The functions of an HR manager is not just recruitment or giving incentive and payroll. Most of us take HR as specialization during our management course either as a major or minor subject. Reason for taking HR for people differ. But most students prefer HR because for them learning analytics is hard. Marketing and sales feel to be not their type. Being with numbers and finance feels tough. Designing or controlling a product or service, and supervising a factory is hectic. These students after taking HR will remain as an HR Executive or will rise to a level of HR Manager after 20 or 30 years.

Human resources professionals no longer function behind the scenes. Their deep knowledge of the workforce has made them invaluable members of the team, especially when it comes to the decision-making process. They are the business partners of the organization. 75% of CEOs consider the opinions of their HRs or CHROs while making a decision. Human resources leaders make ideal business partners since they have a better insight than anyone in the organization has.

If you don’t have the leadership mindset, or you don’t have the mindset of an entrepreneur, being an HR will be a hectic task for you. You might think, why the entrepreneurial mindset. An entrepreneur is defined as “A person who organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise”. So is the task of a Senior HR officer. More than a business partner HRs are part of the business itself. Skills required for being an effective HR are listed below. If you lack any of them, HR job will be boring and you won’t be able to climb up the ladders.

  1. Quantitative Knowledge – Many candidates opt HR as their specialization thinking there won’t be any math involved. You may need to have a solid understanding of maths and statistics. You need these to interpret many reports, also to create turnover reports. Also to determine salary. You don’t need advanced calculus but requires a good math skill.
  2. Compassion – You have to exhibit compassion to everyone, doesn’t matter if you like or dislike the person. You might need to take the role of a therapist at times. Compassion establishes a trust between you and the employees. They will feel safe while expressing their feelings. Compassion is the key to a better bondage.
  3. Legal Knowledge – You need to have a good and better understanding of the Corporate laws and basic employment laws (Labour laws). HR managers often face situations to take decisions on the spot that may face legal consciousness. In most organisations, the HR Managers will be the ones who handle the legal matters.
  4. Multi-tasking – HR is a large domain with multiple subdomains within. In large organisations, the duty of an HR will be dedicated to any domains like Recruitment or Training etc. But in most organisations, the HR Managers are responsible for many things the same. In some organizations especially in the Service Industry, HR Managers are also responsible for the operations and related activities.
  5. People Management – You have to manage the entire workforce in your organization. HR Managers have to understand each one. They have to help each one to manage their personal profile. HR Managers are the ones who are responsible in Hiring as well as firing any individual.

pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% certain. Any tips or advice would be greatly

  7. You can debate that money cannot buy happiness and love, but on the other hand money will give you anything and everything that you just long for as well as in turn can make you happy.

Centuries of gold rush throughout human history as well as the mirroring history of gold prices accumulated till
the current day in order to result in the gold coins market a realm of high expectations, oftentimes matched by corresponding returns.

The volatility index, the VIX, may be of up to 53 within the last year possibly at one point fell to 17 in the event the markets
    calmed down.

  8. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all. However think about if you added some
great graphics or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this
website could certainly be one of the greatest in its niche.
    Very good blog!

  9. Everything composed made a great deal of sense.
But, what about this? suppose you added a little content?
I ain’t saying your content isn’t good., however what if you
added a title that grabbed people’s attention? I mean Why you shouldn't be an HR Manager?

    – YES AMRITA is a little vanilla. You ought to peek at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create
post titles to get people interested. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab readers interested about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it might bring your
    website a little livelier.

  10. If this is the truth then results could possibly be
skewed or even the writer might be can not draw any sensible conclusions.
This will give you enough time and use to brainstorm and ensure what you are currently talking about is relevant and what you look for to show in. However,
it’s also possible to be wondering and you’ll discover good essay writing examples.

  11. Good day! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this

    good platform.

I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less.
I’ve been using Movable-type on a variety of websites for about a year and am anxious about
switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into it?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

  13. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance.
I must say you have done a great job with this. Also,
the blog loads super quick for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!

  14. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles
as long as I provide credit and sources back to your weblog?
My blog is in the exact same niche as yours and my visitors
would definitely benefit from some of the information you provide here.
Please let me know if this ok with you. Many thanks!

  15. Howdy! I understand this is kind of off-topic but I had to ask.

Does managing a well-established blog such as yours take a large amount of work?
I’m brand new to blogging however I do write in my
journal every day. I’d like to start a blog so I can share my experience and thoughts online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for new aspiring bloggers.
